CIM Users Group Meeting in Wendell, NC

October 14 - October 16

Join Michael Covarrubias at the CIM Users Group – North American 2025 Meeting, “Bridging Planning & Operations: Interoperable Solutions for Rapid Grid Transformation” on October 14-16, 2025 in Wendell, NC, USA.

This meeting will focus on the critical connection between long-term planning and real-time operations, highlighting how the Common Information Model (CIM) and interoperable solutions enable utilities to manage rapid changes in the grid. Sessions will explore real-world implementations, integration strategies, and innovations that support more agile, data-driven decision-making across utility environments. Join us for three days of tutorials, technical talks, and networking at our next North American user group meeting hosted by Duke Energy and Siemens.

Michael Covarrubias will be providing a tutorial “Introduction to CIM standards and Architecture”. He will describe how CIM standards are organized and how they are used to exchange information between applications/systems and will explore information exchange techniques and enterprise semantic modeling.
